Meet Quinton Owens, a member of the Greenville Tourism Commission. A native of Greenville and a 2006 graduate of Muhlenberg South High School, Quinton is an educator with the Muhlenberg County Public Schools system. He holds a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University, a master's degree in School Counseling, and a Rank I in School Administration, both from the University of the Cumberlands. He is a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville.

Appointed in 2023, he plays an integral role in shaping strategic initiatives that promote Greenville as a vibrant, welcoming destination for visitors and residents alike. A lifelong advocate for local culture and history, Quinton is passionate about showcasing Greenville’s unique blend of historic charm and modern attractions.

Quinton is a dedicated historian and community advocate with a lifelong passion for preserving local school history and heritage. Born and raised in Greenville, he developed an early fascination with the stories, architecture, and traditions that shaped his hometown. This deep-rooted interest evolved into a mission: to ensure that the voices of the past continue to inspire and educate future generations. Over the years, Quinton has worked tirelessly to document oral histories, collect historical memorabilia, and organize community groups that celebrate the town’s legacy. He firmly believes that understanding where we come from is key to shaping a more thoughtful and connected future.

Outside of his work with the commission, Quinton enjoys collaborating with his colleagues and students at Muhlenberg County High School, spending time with his family, traveling to theme parks, watching basketball and baseball, and visiting historical landmarks throughout the country. He also serves on the Greenville City Park Board, Muhlenberg South High School Alumni Association, and the English Department Advisory Council at Western Kentucky University.

With a lifelong love for his hometown and a deep appreciation for its rich history, cultural diversity, and natural beauty, Quinton brings passion and vision to his role. His enthusiasm is contagious, and he remains committed to ensuring that Greenville continues to shine as a welcoming destination for all.
