Martha Horn

Martha Horn has called Muhlenberg County home for 50 years. She and her husband owned and operated Horn’s Stop and Shop for a decade, and she spent 25 years shaping young minds as a teacher in the Muhlenberg County school system. Her love for the community has always been at the heart of what she does, whether it was volunteering at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, serving as secretary for the Muhlenberg County Humane Society, or continuing to support local schools as a substitute teacher.

Five years ago, Martha was honored to be asked to serve as a Greenville Tourism Commissioner, where she has also taken on the role of treasurer. She has helped bring in talent and sound systems for Saturday Night on the Square and the Christmas Parade and has worked behind the scenes at every event since she joined the commission. Now, she is leading efforts to organize the county’s 911 program, continuing her passion for giving back and making a difference in the place she’s proud to call home.
