Laura Kaylor
A lifelong resident of Greenville, Kentucky, Laura has dedicated her career to enhancing the community. As a young business owner in 2008, she set up shop on the downtown square, living above her business for eight years. She now operates a salon on Depot Street in the Whiskey Run area, and employs six professionals. With over two decades of business experience, she holds an associate’s degree in business and a cosmetology license, along with experience in graphic design, photography, videography, and social media marketing.
As chair of the Brizendine Brothers Nature Park Committee within the commission, Laura is working to enhance the park and promote it's natural beauty. She is also involved in beautification initiatives such as adding murals and cooperating in wildlife projects. The Main Street Alley project, completed in 2024, is one such example. Laura is a natural collaborator, working with community entities and leaders, and looking for opportunities for public space enhancements and events for the sake of effective tourism. Furthermore, she owns a historic home in downtown Greenville, built by the Brizendine family, whose generosity inspires her restoration efforts and deepens her love for Greenville's story through historic architecture. Passionate about Greenville’s future, she actively supports local merchants, is working toward strengthening the town’s entertainmsnt scene through art and music, and is working to elevate Greenville's image through effective marketing and branding.
